The WISCONSIN MASONIC PASSPORT program is designed to encourage members of Wisconsin Freemasonry of Wisconsin to visit each District throughout the state. By creating a sense of community among Masons, this program aims to strengthen connections, share knowledge, and enhance your overall experience.
IMPORTANCE OF THE PROGRAM
1. WISCONSIN MASONIC PASSPORT Fostering Brotherhood: By visiting other Lodges, members can establish new friendships and strengthen bonds with fellow Masons.
2. Promoting Member Engagement: Increased visitation helps ensure that members remain active and engaged within the Masonic community.
3. Cultural Exchange: Each Lodge has its own traditions and practices. Visiting allows members see how other Lodges work, furthering their understanding of Masonic teachings.
4. Increased Lodge Participation: Encouraging travel to other Lodges can lead to increased interest in and attendance at local events.
PROGRAM RULES
1. Documentation of Visits: Fill out a page in the Passport for each Lodge you visit. The entry must be accompanied with the signatures of two (2) elected officers of that Lodge. Or the District Deputy and one of the District Representatives if attending a District Meeting.
2. Lodge Seal: There is a place on the page where the Lodge seal can be applied if available. This can be bypassed if attending a District Meeting.
3. Notes: Documents your travels, write down what you have discovered. This is a great way to take ideas back to your home Lodge.
4. Encourage Others: Motivate members of your home District to Travel with you and work on their own Passport.
HOW TO COMPLETE
1. Make a visit to at least 1 (one) Lodge in all 12 Districts in the Wisconsin Jurisdiction.
2. Any Lodge meeting or District meeting will apply for the District visit in your Passport.
3. There is no defined time line that this needs to be complete.
4. Once your Passport is filled in from all 12 Districts contact your District Deputy so that he may verify its completion.
5. Your District Deputy will notify the Grand Secretary of your completion.
6. Recognition and a certificate of completion will be presented to you by the Grand Master at the next Wisconsin Annual Communication. If you are unable to attend the Annual Communication your District Deputy will present it to you at the next District Meeting following your completion.
